Special guest: Priorat legend René Barbier
René Barbier’s journey has been one of the most inspiring stories in the entire history of wine for me. I have shared his story almost every time I open a bottle from Priorat. His vision — which transformed Priorat from a forgotten region into one of the most vibrant wine areas in Europe — feels like a real-life modern fairy tale.
The opportunity to host him at Lessner is deeply emotional for me personally. I am simply a sincere fan of Priorat — and this evening will be something truly special.
We will hear the story of this fascinating Spanish region straight from the source: how a spirit of collaboration, rugged mountain slopes, century-old vines and the courage to think differently gave birth to a movement that today resonates throughout the entire wine world.
